Filming a live event is nothing like a controlled shoot. There's no rewinding, no reshooting, no second chances. When the lights go down and the crowd starts cheering, we only get one take. That's what makes live event videography one of the most demanding and rewarding things we do.
The Planning Phase
Before we arrive on-site — sometimes days in advance — we've already been through multiple rounds of planning:
- Scouting the venue for sightlines, lighting conditions, and power access
- Creating a shot list tailored to the event's key moments — entrances, speeches, performances, crowd reactions
- Coordinating with the event team to understand the timeline and any surprise elements
- Testing all equipment, batteries, and storage in advance
On the Day
When we're on the ground, it's a ballet of positions. One camera operator tracks the stage, another captures the crowd, and a third might be positioned backstage for candid moments. We're always moving, always adjusting for lighting changes, and always listening for cues from the event coordinators.

Post-Production: Where the Story Takes Shape
This is where the real magic happens. Hours of footage get carefully edited down into something that feels like a condensed highlight reel — but isn't. We don't cut corners to make the video shorter. We trim to make it better.
Every event has a natural rhythm, and our job is to find it. For a music festival, that rhythm is high energy from start to finish. For a wedding, it's softer, interspersed with moments of joy and emotion. For a corporate event, it's polished professionalism with the personality to match.
What You Get
Our standard event videography package includes:
- A full-length edited film (typically 10-20 minutes) covering the entire event
- A highlight reel (2-3 minutes) perfect for social media sharing
- Key moment cuts (speeches, ceremonies, performances) delivered separately for archival use
- Raw footage available on request
